Bandai Namco is preparing a mobile version of My Hero Ultra Rumble
Bandai Namco is working on a mobile adaptation of My Hero Ultra Rumble. This popular anime-based game is coming to iOS and Android devices; however, fans of the original should not expect a direct port from consoles and PC.
The original My Hero Ultra Rumble was released on September 29, 2023, for PC and consoles. It is a free-to-play battle royale in which players compete against one another using the abilities of well-known characters from the My Hero Academia universe. On Steam, the title has received a 72% positive user rating.
Bandai Namco now intends to expand this concept into the mobile market. Rather than simply porting the existing version, the company is creating a distinct product. According to Gematsu, the mobile adaptation is being described as a "completely different game" that will be noticeably distinct from the PC and console versions.
Details regarding the launch remain scarce. The monetization model is expected to remain free-to-play. Another question concerns the launch regions; it is highly likely that the Japanese market will be the publisher's top priority. A release date for My Hero Ultra Rumble on iOS and Android has not yet been announced.
