Mirror’s Edge was ported to Android
The cult-classic mobile game Mirror’s Edge, originally released in 2010 for iPhone and iPod touch, is now available on Android thanks to enthusiasts who created an unofficial port. Players can once again step into the role of Faith Connors, running across rooftops, executing stunts, and outrunning pursuers.

Unlike the well-known PC and console versions, the mobile iteration of Mirror’s Edge is presented in a 2D, side-scrolling format. Controls are gesture-based: swiping up, down, left, or right allows the protagonist to jump, slide, clear obstacles, and perform parkour maneuvers.

The gameplay retains the core elements of the series. Faith must leap between rooftops, run along walls, use zip lines to traverse high-rise structures, and dodge adversaries. In certain situations, she will have to engage with guards. Precision is key — a poorly timed jump could lead to a fall or result in Faith’s capture.

The mobile version also features its own unique storyline. The events take place prior to the original Mirror’s Edge, effectively serving as a standalone prequel to the main series.

However, the installation process is not as straightforward as one might hope. The port operates via an APK launcher, which requires the user to manually specify the location of the game’s original IPA file. Additionally, an issue involving an infinite loading screen may occur upon the first launch. In such cases, the developers of the unofficial port recommend simply restarting the game.
