GOT: Winter is Coming based on Game of Thrones opens its servers
The mobile strategy game GOT: Winter is Coming has entered its soft-launch phase on Android. Publisher Yoozoo has already opened the servers, and the game can be tested via Google Play in seven countries: South Korea, Japan, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, the Philippines, and Indonesia.

In terms of genre, it is a classic 4X strategy game adapted for mobile devices. Players must develop their own kingdoms, construct buildings, strengthen their armies, and gradually expand their influence. The developers have prioritized optimization, ensuring the graphics run smoothly even on smartphones with relatively modest specifications.

One notable feature is the ability to view construction work in close-up detail. New buildings do not simply appear in a menu after a button press; players can watch as the territory gradually transforms into a fully realized kingdom.

Early in the game, the developers generously provide free speed-up items. These allow players to complete major construction projects in mere seconds. However, the pace naturally slows down later on, requiring more time and resources for further development.

As players progress, the game introduces expeditions. Heroes and their troops set out on missions; upon their return, players must tend to wounded soldiers and collect the rewards they have earned.

For Game of Thrones fans, the familiar universe serves as a major highlight. Characters from the TV series and books appear in the game, and more experienced players can choose one of the great houses of Westeros and join a clan.

Clans serve purposes beyond just socializing and cooperative progression; they play a role in PvP content, including real-time combat events. Consequently, GOT: Winter is Coming gradually evolves from a standard city-builder into a full-fledged strategy game featuring player-versus-player competition.

The game is being developed by a Chinese team — a fact evidenced, among other things, by the Chinese voice acting for the characters.
