Ananta will let you catch criminals and put them behind bars
The developers of Ananta are focusing on more than just spectacular combat and exploring a vast city. New footage from the Chinese version of the game reveals a unique mechanic: certain characters can engage in full-fledged police work — tracking down suspects, conducting searches, handcuffing individuals, and taking criminals to the station.
Players can switch between characters, with each one existing independently in the city at any given time. One hero might be attending to personal business, another interacting with fans, while a third patrols the streets and deals with criminals.

A female police officer with pink hair and a ponytail stands out in particular. While on patrol, she can interact with passersby — showing her badge, stopping suspects, and conducting searches. If sufficient evidence is found, the character can handcuff the offender, take them to the police station, and put them behind bars.
Ananta’s combat system also differs significantly from the standard formula. It eschews the classic mechanics of swapping team members and utilizing elemental powers. Instead, combat feels like a blend of Batman: Arkham, Marvel's Spider-Man, and Sifu. When fighting multiple opponents simultaneously, success relies on quick reactions: dodging, executing timely counterattacks, and withstanding assaults from all directions.
