Poppy Playtime: Chapter 5 will be released on smartphones
Mob Entertainment has confirmed that Poppy Playtime: Chapter 5 will be released on mobile devices. While the fifth installment of the horror series is already available on PC, smartphone users have spent months waiting for news regarding a mobile port.
The previous installment, Poppy Playtime: Chapter 4, arrived on smartphones back in June 2025, while the fifth chapter launched on Steam in February 2026. A statement from Mob Entertainment on October 19 confirmed that a mobile version is indeed in the works.
However, questions regarding performance remain. Some players are concerned about whether their smartphones and tablets will be able to handle the new chapter; the system requirements for the PC version call for graphics cards on the level of an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 or an AMD Radeon RX 470.
In Poppy Playtime: Chapter 5, players must once again escape from Huggy Wuggy and explore dark, atmospheric locations tied to the history of the mysterious toy factory. A major focus is placed on the Prototype — a key antagonist whose secrets are gradually unveiled as the story unfolds.
The mobile port will likely follow a premium pricing model, consistent with previous chapters. A convenient feature is that, unlike the Steam version — where each chapter is treated as a separate product — the mobile version does not require the purchase of a base game to play individual chapters.
