Grimdark MMORPG Broken Ranks launches globally on Android
Polish studio Whitemoon has released the global Android version of Broken Ranks, a hardcore dark fantasy MMORPG. Players can now explore its brutal world not only on PC but also on smartphones and tablets. The mobile version is available for download via Google Play.
Broken Ranks offers a mature storyline and a harsh atmosphere, set in a world where survivors must fight for their own future. Far from a typical fantasy filled with heroic feats and a clear-cut divide between good and evil, the game presents a grim reality — one fraught with danger, difficult choices, and dark humor.
In creating the game, the developers drew inspiration from classic RPGs such as Baldur’s Gate and Fallout. At the same time, Broken Ranks possesses a distinct style: its narrative, core plot events, and side quests are heavily influenced by Slavic mythology. This unique blend gives the game world a distinct identity, setting it apart from many other MMORPGs.
But it’s not just about the atmosphere. Broken Ranks is designed for players who prefer to think through their actions rather than mindlessly mashing buttons. Combat requires tactical calculation and careful time management — every decision can shift the tide of battle.
