Fighting game Ultraman: Legend of Heroes 2 set for Android release
Ultraman is returning to mobile screens — this time with full-fledged PvP combat. The fighting game Ultraman: Legend of Heroes 2 is set to launch on September 15, though the project has currently only been announced for Android and for specific regions.
Pre-registration is now open in Southeast Asian countries, including the Philippines. The game is officially licensed, and its development was reportedly overseen by Tsuburaya Productions, the company behind the Ultraman franchise.
The game focuses primarily on 3v3 battles. Players directly control their characters, using dedicated buttons for attacks and abilities, activating charged skills, and managing cooldown times.

The developers have also prepared several game modes. Judging by the released materials, these include battles against world bosses, with some activities taking place in a virtual city viewed from a bird's-eye perspective.
Visually, however, the project looks rather modest. The graphics make no attempt to compete with the most technically advanced mobile games of recent years; it appears the developers prioritized ensuring the game runs smoothly even on relatively low-end devices.
On the plus side, there is a mechanic that could inject some chaos into matches: Ultraman and his opponents can fire powerful laser attacks at each other simultaneously. If both players activate their lasers at the same time, a speed-based contest ensues — players must tap the screen as fast as possible to overpower their opponent's attack.
