Aniimo gets release date for PC, consoles, and smartphones
The developers of Aniimo have revealed the release date for the adventure game across multiple platforms. The announcement was made during the Gamescom ONL 2026 presentation, where the creators finalized the launch schedule.
The game will first become available on PC, Xbox Series, and PlayStation 5 on September 16, 2026. Smartphone users will have to wait a little longer, as the iOS and Android versions are scheduled for September 23. Aniimo will be available for download via the App Store, Google Play, Steam, and the Epic Games Store.
At the heart of the game are "Aniimos" — unique fantasy creatures that players must catch, collect, and utilize while traversing a vast open world. They serve purposes beyond just combat; the creatures' various abilities will help players solve puzzles, explore locations, and navigate the world more quickly.

The developers have included nine elemental types, making the assembly of a suitable team a key part of the gameplay experience. However, Aniimo offers more than just a single story campaign; the project includes co-op missions and PvP modes, while also allowing players to engage in more laid-back activities between adventures.
The game will also feature farming and personal space customization. In this way, Aniimo aims to blend open-world exploration, creature collecting, and combat with elements of a more relaxed simulation game.
The developers are placing special emphasis on cross-platform play. Aniimo will support interaction between PC, Xbox, and mobile devices, allowing players across different platforms to share the same gaming ecosystem.
