Fantasy MMORPG Eclipse: The Awakening opens pre-registration
Smilegate has once again highlighted its cross-platform MMORPG Eclipse: The Awakening, which has been largely absent from the news for a long time. Now, the project has taken an important step toward launch: the game's pages are now available in the App Store and Google Play for South Korean users, and official pre-registration has also begun.

According to information from mobile marketplaces, the release of Eclipse: The Awakening is tentatively scheduled for September 30, 2026. For now, the launch is limited to South Korea. The developers have not yet announced an international release.

Access to the Korean version will be limited. Downloading requires an account with verified passport information, as the game has been rated 19+. This restriction is due to the in-game system of random rewards and loot boxes.

One of the features of Eclipse: The Awakening will be the ability to develop a character even when not in the game. The offline leveling system will allow gradual progress without constantly being in front of the screen. For those who prefer co-op play, group activities are available.

As the character's power increases, access to more challenging content will become available. Players will be able to join guilds, team up with allies, and embark on raids against powerful bosses, where success will depend not only on equipment but also on teamwork.

The developers call Eclipse: The Awakening an MMO-lite project. This approach is designed for players who are not prepared to spend dozens of hours daily playing the game. Many mechanics here are simplified compared to classic MMORPGs, making the project more comfortable to master.
