Rust Mobile to launch open beta this summer
The mobile version of the cult survival game Rust is finally approaching full testing. The developers have officially confirmed that Rust Mobile will launch an open beta test this summer. The first players will be able to enter the game on July 9th. For now, the test will only take place in two regions: Hong Kong and Macau.
At the start of testing, only Android device owners will have access to the game. There is no information yet about the iOS version, but the developers don't rule out that testing on Apple devices could begin later—toward the end of summer or as early as this fall.
One of the key features of the new phase will be the elimination of pre-registration. This time, players won't have to apply or wait for invitations. Simply download the client after its release in digital stores and secure a free server spot. Rust Mobile's Google Play and App Store pages for these regions have not yet appeared.

Judging by official posts on Western social media, the game is expected to support the English language. This could significantly expand interest beyond Asia, especially among fans of the original PC version of Rust.
Many are already calling the launch of Rust Mobile one of the most exciting mobile events of this summer. The project aims to bring a full-fledged survival experience to smartphones: resource gathering, base building, raids, PvP battles, and the constant struggle for survival in a dangerous open world. These elements have made Rust one of the most popular survival games on PC for many years.
However, players are concerned about possible regional restrictions. The community hopes that the developers will not implement strict account, document, or license checks that could hinder access to testing for users in other countries.
