On March 24, Square Enix launched the mobile game Dissidia Duellum Final Fantasy. The game is now available to Western audiences — servers are officially open to English-speaking users who can connect through alternate regions.

From the start, players are invited to complete a basic tutorial explaining key mechanics and control features. After completing the tutorial, the main menu opens with several modes and systems, including a friends list, seasonal activities, and a battle pass. By leveling up the battle pass, players earn various rewards, adding a layer of long-term motivation.

The gameplay combines team battles, battles against powerful bosses, and clearing the map of lesser opponents. Capturing crystals is a key part of the gameplay — they allow players to advance and trigger the main enemy to appear in the area. Each team keeps track of the damage dealt and can also attack opponents directly, including enemy heroes.

One of the project's features is manual control of at least one character in the squad, adding dynamism and control to battles. Matches are timed, and the vertical format makes the game suitable for short sessions on smartphones. This solution is clearly aimed at a mobile audience that prefers fast and intense gaming sessions.
