Honkai: Star Rail has received update 3.8
The developers of Honkai: Star Rail held a special stream and published an official press release fully revealing the contents of update 3.8. The new update will serve as a bridge between the completed journey on Amphoraeus and the next chapter of the story, once again focusing players on the mysterious festival planet of Penakonia.
After the epic events on Amphoraeus, the Star Rail crew returns to the Dreamland, but the atmosphere of the resort has noticeably changed. This time, the journey takes on a darker and more disturbing tone. The Pathfinder is faced with an unexpected discovery: his memories of past events are incomplete. Key fragments of history have been stolen, and the truth about previous expeditions has been deliberately distorted.
A new 5-star character, Constance Georgina, will play a key role in restoring his lost memory. She suddenly appears to the Pathfinder and offers to help him collect burned memories to reconstruct the true story of Penakonia. Gradually, players will discover that the planet's past is far more complex and dangerous than it seemed during the Festival of Harmony.
A separate storyline in version 3.8 is dedicated to Firefly. Players will follow her journey through the Dream World, her first encounters, fateful decisions, and a return to the events of the Iron Cavalry of Glathiramer. Memories bring forgotten locations and old connections to the surface, forcing the heroine to re-examine her past.
Georgina will not only be an important storyline character but also a fully-fledged combat unit. She is a Fire-type and follows the Path of Nothingness, fitting perfectly into squads focused on penetration. Her unique mechanics allow her to create a special zone where allies deal super-penetration damage even without breaking an enemy's vulnerability. Her "Dance Partner" ability links Georgina to an ally, boosting her attacks and activating bonus attacks, while her ultimate ability temporarily inflicts vulnerability on all enemies, accelerating their durability breakdown.
