Marvel Snap launched Weapon X Season
The popular collectible game Marvel Snap has launched one of its most action-packed seasons yet: "Weapon X," dedicated to the experimental program that changed the fates of many characters in the Marvel Universe. The season began on December 2 and is scheduled to conclude on January 6, 2026, giving players a full month to explore new mechanics and develop updated strategies.
The main event of the season was the introduction of Weapon X, a version of Wolverine from the time when his body was infused with adamantium in secret laboratories. This period of his life is known for its brutal experiments, memory wipes, and the transformation of the hero into the perfect weapon. Marvel Snap reflects this mechanically: the card gains a power boost every time another of your cards is destroyed on the field, gaining +1 power, and after every third time it triggers, its bonus increases even further.

However, Wolverine isn't the only participant in the program. More victims of Department K's experiments will appear in the game throughout the season:

- Chamber — gains a power boost of +2 for each card costing 5+ mana in your hand or at an active location.
- Adamantium Infusion — a support card that allows you to resurrect your most powerful destroyed card with double the power, creating enormous potential for combo decks.
- Weapon H — can temporarily remove a card, reducing its cost by 2.
- Maverick, Aurora, and Fantomex — additional themed units, expanding the possibilities for new builds.
- Wade Wilson — His death triggers the appearance of a new card from your hand or deck, costing 1 mana and gaining +1 power — a nod to the character's signature survivability and unpredictability.
