Tower of Fantasy launches a global server without gacha
Tower of Fantasy developers have confirmed the launch of a special gacha-free server — a long-awaited event for fans of the project. Going live on November 25th, the new format, part of update 5.5, offers players an alternative route for progression that isn’t based on randomness, but on a stable resource acquisition through in-game activity.
This mode was first tested in the Chinese version, where it received positive reviews for its fair game balance and the elimination of random spins. Now it will be available to international audience.
The core feature of the server is the complete absence of gacha spins. All weapons are now earned by completing story missions, activities, and progressing through the game. The weapon ascension system will also be disabled, making leveling up easier and more intuitive. Cosmetic items and skins can be crafted from shards, which can be obtained in a variety of ways, including through free trade with other players.

Additionally, a seasonal system will be introduced with regular updates featuring exclusive rewards and challenges designed specifically for this non-gacha server. Clans will have their own base where they can meet, coordinate, exchange items, and develop their own territory.
Another major addition is six new professions, including Blacksmith, Explorer, and Chef. These roles expand the possibilities of crafting, resource gathering, and player interactions, adding new layers of depth to the game.
