Honkai: Nexus Anima developers showcase new zones and characters
Honkai: Nexus Anima’s studio shared early details on the upcoming project and revealed a number of new features coming to the game in the near future. In a lengthy post published on the X social network, the team introduced the new Anima characters, updated locations, and outlined plans to conduct a playtest with players.

One of the key innovations was the revamped night lighting system. According to the developers, the light sources now look more natural, significantly transforming familiar maps in the game. Night scenes have become deeper and more atmospheric: the soft glow of lanterns, reflections, and shadows create a more vibrant scene and offer a fresh perspective on known areas.

In addition to the visual changes, the project's developers also revealed a new urban location. It's a spacious square surrounded by tall skyscrapers. The space gleams with bright neon signs and a huge advertising screen that dominates the cityscape. Judging by the released footage, the area has a sleek, futuristic style.

Update of Honkai Nexus Anima

Two new Anima are joining the roster to accompany players on journeys and battles. The first is named Fyrklor. This character is associated with the element of fire and wields a massive sword. His primary role is to protect allies and engage in close combat, with strength being his bread-and-butter stat.

The second Anim, Hoggit, has a more relaxed and comical appearance. According to the team, he exudes the aroma of apple pie and prefers to take a nap after a hearty meal. This contrast in characterization is apparently intended to add more humor and variety to the game.
