Pirate action Sea of Remnants has got gameplay trailer
Sea of Remnants is an open-world pirate adventure from Joker Studio and publisher NetEase Games. This is one of the bright new products of the State of Play 2025 presentation. As part of the event, a new trailer with fragments of the gameplay was shown, and the official page of the project on Steam was opened. Now more details are known about the future release, and fans of sea battles can start following the project.

The game is being developed as a free-to-play (F2P) project with support for cooperative passage and single-player mode. The release is scheduled for 2026. Sea of Remnants will be released on PC, mobile devices and PlayStation 5.

Players will enjoy intense gameplay with exploration of the ocean expanses, construction and customization of their own pirate ship. One of the key mechanics will be the ability to assemble a team of more than 300 characters with unique abilities. The sea in the game will obey the laws of realistic physics: the developers have implemented wave simulation and realistic behavior of marine animals.

Sea of Remnants

Sea of Remnants promises a dynamic change of weather and time of day, which will directly affect the sailing conditions. Night voyages will be especially dangerous due to possible encounters with sea monsters. A variety of game modes are also provided: from PvE exploration to PvP battles with other players.

In addition, the authors emphasize that their goal is to make the world alive and filled with activities: treasure hunting, boarding, battles with monsters and even the ability to storm fortifications on the coast. All this is accompanied by the possibility of in-game purchases.

The game has already attracted the interest of fans of Sea of Thieves and other naval action games, offering a new approach to the genre. You can follow the project on its page on Steam — the developers promise to share news as the release approaches.
