Interactive horror adventure Beyond the Room awaits players on Android
The Peruvian indie studio Dark Dome, which specializes in puzzles in the “Room Escape” genre, has once again, for the eighth time, presented connoisseurs of the genre with the game Beyond the Room, full of riddles, intricate quests and searches.

Beyond the Room takes place in a time-worn building that has been empty for 6 years. The previous residents have left it, and new ones cannot be found due to the bad reputation surrounding the old house. What happened within its dark walls in the past? Murders? Calls from otherworldly forces? Rituals of a bloody sect? Unknown. The main character Darien just has to disturb the peace of an abandoned mansion and reveal its secrets, and at the same time find out whose shadows are sliding in the windows when the lights suddenly come on in the house at night.

The game is literally filled with complex but exciting riddles that you need to solve, and along the way, find and catch 10 shadows that are hiding in dark corners on different floors of the building. The fairly intense plot also has plenty of emotional moments that allow you to dive deeper into what is happening, the action of which is supported by well-chosen music and excellent visuals.

For those who do not want to be distracted by advertising while completing quests, there is a premium version, the purchase of which, in addition:

  • will give access to an unlimited number of tips;
  • will open an additional scene that hides an interesting new secret.

And if you're a longtime fan of the Dark Dome games, you'll get a nice bonus in the form of a connection between the Beyond the Room storylines and Nowhere House, released at the end of 2020. However, it is very conventional, so you don’t need to go through the old game to understand the plot of the new one.

Beyond the Room was released for Android devices on June 23, 2024. The release of the game on iOS is theoretically possible, but unlikely, since there have been no official announcements on this matter, and the studio, apparently, does not consider iOS its priority.
