Dynasty Warriors: Overlords early access has launched on Android
The global release of the mobile action game Dynasty Warriors: Overlords was originally expected in early July, but the developers have revised their plans. According to updated information, the project is now scheduled for August 2, 2026.
Pre-registration is currently ongoing for iOS and Android users, while the most dedicated fans have already had a chance to try the game through its soft launch. An early version of Dynasty Warriors: Overlords has become available to Android owners as part of a limited testing period in the Philippines.
The game is based on the renowned Dynasty Warriors series and brings familiar large-scale battles to the mobile format. The developers promise fully recreated commanders from Dynasty Warriors 6, each with their own skills and fighting style.
Players will literally cut through hundreds, even thousands, of enemies using spectacular combos and special attacks, staying true the the series’ trademark gameplay, where a single hero can change the course of an entire battle.
Alongside its large-scale combat, the game will feature a story campaign divided into four factions. Each faction will offer its own storyline, familiar characters, and a set of missions inspired by the events of the Three Kingdoms era.
Competitive players will also find a separate PvP arena. Judging by the published gameplay videos, battles take place in a 3v3 format. Despite the presence of an entire squad, the player controls only one selected character during combat, with each match lasting five minutes.
Special attention has been paid to the general collection system. Each new character can activate special bonds with other heroes. Collecting certain combinations of two, three, or five Warlords grants the team additional passive bonuses.
