Lineage 2: Revolution is preparing its first new class in 3 years
Publisher Netmarble has officially confirmed the addition of a new playable class to the mobile MMORPG Lineage 2: Revolution. At the end of December, the game will receive a major update, the key element of which will be the Death Knight — the first new class in the game's three-year history.
The announcement is accompanied by special teaser art highlighting the character's dark aesthetic and its importance to the lore of the universe. The developers call the addition of the Death Knight one of the most significant events in recent years for the community, as the game had previously gone for a long time without new classes.

Canonically, the Death Knight belongs to the human race. They fight with massive two-handed swords and wear heavy armor, focusing on high survivability and powerful attacks. In the storyline, these warriors served as defenders of the world from the fire dragon Valakas, but were cursed with immortality. After disappearing from history, they return in a twisted, cursed form — it is in this form that players will encounter them in Lineage 2: Revolution.
The new class is a reimagining of the Death Knight from the original Lineage 2, adapted for mobile. The combat system and skill set have been redesigned for touch controls, while maintaining the class's recognizable style — slow but devastating combat with an emphasis on control and damage.
