Lineage 2: Revolution is preparing its first new class in 3 years
Publisher Netmarble has officially confirmed the drop of a new playable class to the mobile MMORPG Lineage 2: Revolution. This epic addition hits at the end of December, bringing in the Death Knight — the first new class in the game's three-year history, promising a fresh new way to conquer the battlefield.

The announcement is accompanied by special teaser artwork highlighting the character's dark aesthetic and its importance to the lore of the universe. The developers call the addition of the Death Knight one of the most significant events in recent years for the community. After a long dry spell without new classes, this is a major comeback.

New class in Lineage 2 Revolution

Canonically, the Death Knight belongs to the human race. They fight with massive two-handed swords and wear heavy armor, focusing on high survivability and powerful attacks. These warriors once served as defenders of the world from the fire-breathing dragon Valakas, then were cursed with eternal life — a twist fate that turn them into immortal. Now, in Lineage 2: Revolution, they return from the shadow, in cursed form — ready to unleash chaos in the mobile arena.

The new class is a reimagining of the Death Knight from the original Lineage 2, adapted for mobile. While maintaining the class's recognizable style, the combat system and skill set have been redesigned for touch controls, making every swing and skill feel visceral — slow, devastating damage deal, control-focused, these knights are all about delivering crushing blow and dominate any challenging battles.
