The release of MOCHI-O featuring a pixel hamster has taken place
At first glance, it seems that saving the world from armies of robots and aliens is the prerogative of heroes with armor and laser guns. But the developers of the new mobile game MOCHI-O have decided otherwise: Earth's main defender is... a cute pixelated hamster that eats sunflower seeds. And while his size may not inspire fear, he has plenty of guns and strategic skills.

The game is now available on iOS and Android via the App Store and Google Play, and there's also a PC version available via Google Play Games. MOCHI-O is free-to-play: it contains ads and in-app purchases, but the core gameplay is accessible to everyone.

The core mechanics are simple yet engaging. The player controls a hamster fighting waves of enemies. Defeated enemies leave behind "experience" in the form of seeds — the more seeds you collect, the faster your hero's power grows. As you level up, you choose one of three random power-ups, adding an element of strategy and surprise.

But this isn't just a tower defense game with a fluffy character. The developers have added mini-care features for your hero: you can feed and pet them, increasing their effectiveness in battle. Blueprints for base upgrades and weapon customization are also available, allowing you to tailor your defense to your own playstyle.
