BladeRite: Rivals launches closed beta test
The anime action game BladeRite: Rivals, previously known under the working title Project A: Melee Battle Royale, is preparing for its first major test: a closed beta test. The developers have officially confirmed that servers will open on April 23rd, with access available to players in a limited number of regions: Indonesia, the Philippines, Thailand, Brazil, Egypt, and Iraq. A precise end date for the beta has not yet been announced, leaving room for an additional testing phase or an extension.

The game offers a unique take on the battle royale genre. Instead of traditional firearms, the focus is on close combat and fantasy weaponry. Players will drop onto a large map, search for equipment, engage in combat, and try to be the last one standing. However, the key difference lies in the battle dynamics themselves: victory depends not on the amount of loot found, but on precise timing, reactions, and the skillful use of character abilities.

Each match in BladeRite: Rivals lasts approximately 7 minutes, making the game as dynamic as possible and designed for quick sessions. Up to 20 players can participate in a single battle, and the developers claim to have completely abandoned the idea of populating matches with bots — each encounter will be fought exclusively between real players.

Players will be able to choose from several unique heroes, each with their own set of abilities. The combat system is built around dodging, counterattacking, and timing, bringing the gameplay closer to tactical duels than a classic, chaotic battle royale.

Users can now pre-register through the project's official website. This will give you the chance to be tested and be the first to experience a new approach to the genre that emphasizes speed, skill, and close-quarters combat over traditional long-range shooting.
