A Major RPG is being developed based on the Mushoku Tensei anime
Publisher GREE, together with studio ASOBIMO, officially unveiled the mobile game Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation — Chronicle of Echoes, based on the popular anime series "Jobless Reincarnation." The project is timed to coincide with the franchise's fifth anniversary and will be a new standalone title in the title's universe.

The game is scheduled for release on iOS and Android platforms. Japan will be the first to receive access, with expansion to other markets expected. The distribution model will be free-to-play — players will be able to download the game for free, and monetization will be achieved through in-game purchases.

The developers are positioning Chronicle of Echoes as a full-fledged RPG with 3D graphics, a story-driven campaign, and team-based combat elements. Gameplay details are limited at this time, but a character leveling system, hero collection, and extensive story quests related to the key events of the original work are expected.

The creators have placed special emphasis on authenticity: the characters will be voiced by the same actors who worked on the anime adaptation. This aims to preserve the recognizable atmosphere and emotional connection with the source material.

To support the announcement, an official teaser website in Japanese was launched, which also includes links to the project's social media platforms, including TikTok and X. The team promises to share the first screenshots and gameplay details in the coming months.

The original story follows a 34-year-old man who experiences a series of setbacks and the loss of his family. After a tragic death, he is given the chance to start a new life in a fantasy world of swords and magic, preserving the memories of his past. Reborn as Rudeus Greyrat, the hero resolves to change his destiny and live his life consciously, without his past mistakes and regrets.
