Visual novel Grisaia Phantom Trigger Vol.1 has been released on iOS and Android
Crunchyroll has unexpectedly released the mobile version of Grisaia: Phantom Trigger Vol.1 — the first part of the popular visual novel from the Grisaia universe. The release took place earlier than the announced deadline: initially, the game was supposed to be released closer to the end of September, but is now available for download in most countries of the world through the App Store and Google Play.

It is important to note: access to the game is limited only to users with an active subscription to Crunchyroll, which makes this release part of the content ecosystem of the streaming service. Without a subscription, it is impossible to run the game, even with the client installed.

Grisaia: Phantom Trigger Vol.1 is a linear visual novel that does not involve choosing lines or plot developments. The game takes place in the world familiar to fans of the original Grisaia series, but with completely new characters and an original story. Famous names worked on the project: Akio Watanabe once again acted as an artist, and Ryuta Fujisaki was responsible for the script.

This is only the first chapter of eight, so players should expect a continuation in the future. Despite the limited gameplay mechanics, the project relies on high visual quality, atmospheric music and an emotional narrative.

The mobile version has been fully optimized for touch controls, and the interface is adapted for vertical and horizontal use. The visual part remains at a high level: colorful backgrounds, expressive facial expressions of the characters and the artist's signature style give the game recognition and depth.

Grisaia: Phantom Trigger Vol.1 is not just a port from PC, but a full-fledged transfer of the visual experience to mobile platforms. The early release was a pleasant surprise for fans of the genre, although the mandatory Crunchyroll subscription requirement may limit the audience.
