Hyper Light Drifter has been released in a new special edition for mobile devices

Since 2016, the multi-platform action-RPG Hyper Light Drifter has been systematically released, first on computers with different operating systems, and then on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One consoles. And although many experts consider the game to be underrated, it gathered its base of gamers and received recognition, so the transition to the mobile format was predictable. However, some of its features were not anticipated even by fans who were looking forward to the opportunity to download their favorite game to their smartphone.

On June 17, 2024, a representative of the publisher Abylight officially announced the appearance on Google Play of a page for a revised and debugged version of Hyper Light Drifter Special Edition for download on Android.



Gamers are promised the following improvements:

• Frequency up to 60 frames per second;
  
• Added Tower Climb mode;
  
• Two new types of weapons and updated ammunition;
  
• Google Play achievements;
  
• Gamepad compatibility for those who feel that touch controls don't allow them to fully experience the atmosphere of the game.
  

Considering that all this is presented with the “special edition” tag, which is not often indulged in by mobile gamers, the release of Hyper Light Drifter Special Edition definitely deserves the closest attention, and the developers convince that you can get strong emotions and vivid impressions from the game.



The only negative is the rather short story, which, coupled with the price of about $5.50, may cause displeasure for some gamers. But, again, old fans of the game recommend not giving in to doubts and still trying it, guaranteeing that Hyper Light Drifter is worth it. As they say, it's up to you.
