New generation of flagship smartphones Galaxy S21, S21 + and S21 Ultra presented
The annual Galaxy Unpacked event was held to mark the release of the new flagship line of smartphones Samsung Galaxy S21, S21+ and S21 Ultra.The Galaxy S21 is the basic version, the Galaxy S21+ has more advanced features, but the Galaxy S21Ultra has the most top-end package. All new items received 5G support and received a new and stylish design. The sides of the smartphones are framed with polished metal and have a rounded shape. The cameras on the back cover are located in a rectangular block that smoothly merges into the body of smartphones and "sticks out" a little. The front camera is now in a neat hole in the middle of the screen.
Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra really deserves more attention, because it is this version of the "revolutionary" novelty that received the most innovations.
The S21 Ultra received support for the S Pen stylus, but it is not included in the base package and there is no dedicated storage hole for it. The branded stylus can be purchased separately along with a special charging case. 6.8-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with WQHD+ resolution and 120Hz refresh rate, connected automatically by smartphone. The battery capacity is 5000 mAh. On the back panel there are 4 cameras: the main module has a resolution of 108 megapixels, the second module with a wide angle received a resolution of 12 megapixels and autofocus, the latter two - a telephoto with a resolution of 10 megapixels and 3x, 10x zoom, respectively. The cameras are capable of shooting in 4K at 60 fps. The selfie camera received a resolution of 40 megapixels.
The back cover of the Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra is made of matte tempered glass, and the smartphone will be delivered in 2 basic colors: black phantom and silver phantom. Samsung has provided its users with the ability to customize their smartphone, which can be done on the official website.
Another interesting innovation, the entire line of smartphones received UWB (Ultra-Wide Band) technology, which allows the smartphone to work as a digital car key and interact with all Samsung accessories, the first were Galaxy Buds Pro and the Galaxy Smart Tag keychain, their smartphone can be seen on the map and exchange signals in case of loss.
In terms of performance, all smartphones are equipped with the Exynos 2100 chip and Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 (for the US and South Korea). The Exynos 2100 is a 5nm, seven-core processor with one powerful 2.9 GHz Cortex-X1 core, three high-performance Cortex-A78 cores and three energy-efficient Cortex-A55 cores, as well as a Mali G78 video accelerator. The manufacturer promises a 30% increase in base performance and 40% in gaming compared to the Exynos 990 chip. LPDDR5 RAM - 8 GB for Galaxy S21, S21+ and 12/16 GB for Galaxy S21 Ultra. Internal storage in UFS 3.1 format - 128/256/512 GB for S21 Ultra and 128/256 GB optional for Galaxy S21, S21+. It is also worth noting that all smartphones are protected from moisture and dust according to the iP68 standard, have an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner, and neither headphones nor a charger will be supplied with the smartphone itself.
Samsung Galaxy S21+ also received a Dynamic AMOLED 2X screen, but with a diagonal of 6.7 inches and a resolution of Full HD+. On the back there are 3 main cameras: a 64MP Quad Bayer sensor and 2 other 12MP cameras. There is also a 3x hybrid zoom, it is possible to shoot in 4K at 60 fps. The Galaxy S21+ body is made of tempered Gorilla Glass Victus and is available in 3 colors: Phantom Black, Phantom Silver and Phantom Purple. The battery capacity is 4800 mAh.
