HTC at the end of 2019 introduced its first unusual smartphone Exodus 1S, and it is unusual because it can be used to mine cryptocurrency. Already in the second quarter of this year, Midas Labs plans to release a special DeMiner application for HTC Exodus 1S, which is aimed at mining the Monero cryptocurrency directly from the smartphone while it is charging. But, as the developers themselves say, you won’t be able to make that simple money, because the device can only generate $0.0038 in Monero equivalent in just a day. For a year you can earn only $1.39, given that the smartphone costs about €219, it will be possible to retrieve its value only after 170 years and this is without the cost of electricity. Therefore, a smartphone for this purpose is not a good idea.

But Midas Labs developers noted that the average laptop is capable of earning $0.06, while consuming energy at $0.156 per day. The Exodus 1S processor is more energy efficient, which allows you to earn 50%, taking into account the cost of electricity.
