25% Android users at risk trojan infection
The other day, the anti-virus company "Dr.Web" published a study regarding new samples of the Android.Xiny family of Trojans. Dr.Web anti-virus has been fighting this type of trojan since 2015, but this pest turned out to be quite tenacious, and attackers create more and more new versions. This trojan applies to devices running Android up to and including version 5.1. And this means, as the study shows, 25% of users are at risk of infection with this type of trojan. Penetrating into your smartphone, Android.Xiny installs a number of unnecessary applications without your permission, thereby attackers quietly earn money from affiliate programs that pay for the same installation of their applications. The place of distribution can be ordinary collections of software, directories with applications or the same Google Play. To make an invisible installation of virus software, the trojan gets root-rights on your device, in addition, trojans often display unnecessarily intrusive ads. But most of all, trojans amaze with their protection, because they are almost impossible to remove.
