At a conference in San Francisco dedicated to game developers, Oculus presented its updated version of the Rift headset. The upcoming new product will be on the shelves soon this spring, and they estimated it at $399. But the increase in the cost of the novelty is not limited to, the developers have reported a number of innovations, including an increased resolution and an integrated audio system. Rift S received an LCD-matrix instead of the usual OLED, so it turned out to increase the resolution to 1280x1440 pixels, but the screen refresh rate dropped from 90Hz to 80Hz. The viewing angle has thus also been increased. Two Oculus Touch controllers come with a headset to monitor the environment with high quality; 5 cameras have been installed - Oculus Insight.
But it’s also interesting that Lenovo worked with Oculus. Such a blow made it possible to make the headset easier, more comfortable, protected from the sun's rays, and also to give it one cable system. It's no secret that in order to comfortably use the headset you need a powerful system, so the manufacturer took care of future buyers and made it possible to check your PC for compatibility with the gadget. To check the requirements of the headset, just go to the official Oculus website and use the appropriate program.
