Following the Samsung company, Huawei demonstrated its view on folding gadgets and demonstrated its novelty at the MWC 2019 exhibition. A hybrid smartphone that turns into a tablet in a second surpasses its rival Galaxy Fold in all respects and even costs more. Huawei Mate X - the so-called novelty, but the main feature of the gadget is the screen, which in the folded state frames the smartphone. A large screen on the outside has an 8-inch OLED matrix with a resolution of 2480x2200 pixels and an aspect ratio of 8: 7.1. The thickness of the body in the unfolded state is 5.4 mm, when folded - 11 mm. Having folded the device, the user gets the main screen of 6.6 inches with a resolution of 2480x1148 pixels, besides with very thin frames. The secondary screen has a diagonal of 6.38 inches with a resolution of 2480x892 pixels, the advantage of this screen is that you can easily take a selfie on the main camera. But another feature of the gadget is its protruding panel, thanks to which it was possible to achieve framelessness, and also to remove all the cameras and move the USB Type-C port there.

Falcon Wing is responsible for bending mechanism, which consists of 100 different elements. According to the manufacturer, it took the company 3 years to create this mechanism, and the device bends without gaps. Inside the Huawei Mate X is the Kirin 980 chip, 8 GB of RAM and 512 GB of its memory. The hybrid supports 5G networks through its own Balong 5000 5G modem. In total, the device has two batteries, the capacity of which is 4500 mAh, there is also a quick charge of 55 W, thanks to which the device can be charged 85% in just half an hour. The charging unit itself comes with the device. The fingerprint scanner is located on the power button, the characteristics of the cameras have not yet been announced, but it is known that they use Leica optics. The developers have estimated their product cheaply, as much as $2,607, and it will be sold from mid-2019.
